Mission Statement
The mission of Juvenile Detention and Probation is the protection of the public and public safety, to promote punishment for criminal acts, remove the taint of criminality from children committing unlawful acts, and provide treatment, training and rehabilitation emphasizing accountability and responsibility of both parent and child for the child's conduct. The Juvenile Board, consisting of the District and County Court at Law Judges and the County Judge oversees the activities of this office.
